“As your counselor, I will work to create a space for you to feel welcomed, protected and cared for. You will find the freedom to bring your truest self: all of your joys, shame and pain. Here we will walk together—at your pace—towards a deeper understanding of yourself in order to build an authentic life. I have found my passion in working with teens and adults who find themselves in painful places, whether from traumatic experiences or from the inner voices of shame, and working together towards healing and peace.
I am a National Certified Counselor and Provisional Professional Counselor in the state of Wyoming. I received my Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Northern Colorado. I have worked in a variety of behavioral and mental health settings with a diverse client population, enabling me to use my Spanish fluency. I worked with at-risk youth at a residential treatment facility, provided case management services to youth and families at a non-profit and provided individual and group counseling at a domestic violence shelter. I practice trauma counseling through EMDR Therapy and received EMDR Advanced and Basic Training from the Maiberger Institute, an EMDRIA approved provider.
I have lived in Fort Collins, Colorado for nearly my entire life (I like to consider myself a native). During my free time, I love hiking, salsa dancing, walking my dog and spending time with my family and friends. We love eating Mexican food and being together. I have a huge heart for social justice and am passionate about abolishing human-trafficking in our country and abroad. “
