Cameron Butler, MA
Education: Liberty University, B.S. Interdisciplinary Studies: Psychology and Business. Liberty University, M.A. Professional Counseling
Summary of Experience: Cameron has coached middle school girls and has served as a mentor for high school youth. Cameron is an Army veteran and served a tour in Iraq (’03-’04). He also has a previous career in marketing and finance, but his passion to be used to help others has moved him to counseling over the past few years. He serves as a small group leader at Mountain View Community Church.
Summary of Approach: Cameron’s counseling orientation is eclectic with an emphasis on an evidence based cognitive-behavioral approach. But he also believes that an integrative approach to assessment is critical to help clients reach their goals and work through challenges in the context of their whole person, examining mental/emotional, physical, and spiritual components.
Personal: I live up the Poudre Canyon with my wife and our two dogs, and have called the Fort Collins area my home for just over six years. I love to cook, and have a passion for being a lifelong learner. I also love the outdoors whether it involves sports, gardening, or taking our dogs for a hike. My faith in Christ and growing as a husband are the two most important things in my life.
