Summary of Experience: I lead a divorce recovery group through Christ Community Church and worked in Grief and Loss Counseling at a Hospice facility assisting individuals, couples, families and groups in their grief process. Over the last 3 years, I have counseled many teenagers, college students and adults from diverse backgrounds.
Summary of Approach: I consider myself eclectic in my theoretical approach and often utilize Adlerian and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in my work. The therapy I provide is intended to be short-term, goal-oriented, and positive. I work to help people become aware of negative thoughts, and behavioral patterns. We will work to develop positive ways of thinking to reduce mental blocks and challenges and work toward a more positive way of living.
From the beginning, I am considerate of my client’s spiritual preferences and will cater to those preferences.
Some Clients prefer to bring their Christianity into the session, others do not have spiritual beliefs and do not want want faith as part of their counseling. It is important to me that the session fits your needs emotionally and spiritually.
