University of Northern Colorado, Clinical Mental Health Counseling
I lead a divorce recovery group through Christ Community Church and worked in Grief and Loss Counseling at a Hospice facility assisting individuals, couples, families and groups in their grief process. Over the last 3 years, I have counseled many teenagers, college students and adults from diverse backgrounds.
I consider myself eclectic in my theoretical approach and often utilize Adlerian and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in my work. The therapy I provide is intended to be short-term, goal-oriented, and positive. I work to help people become aware of negative thoughts, and behavioral patterns. We will work to develop positive ways of thinking to reduce mental blocks and challenges and work toward a more positive way of living.
Areas of Focus
My favorite thing to do is spend time with family and friends. I thoroughly enjoy any time I get with my husband, our two teenage daughters and our sweet dog Molly. In the summer, we spend a lot of time at the lake or in the mountains. I am also a crafter so in the winter, I love to make all kinds of fun homemade gifts.
Take the First Step
First time clients are welcomed in for a free 30 minute consultation with any of our counselors. This initial session will act as a meet and greet to ensure that you and the counselor are the right fit.
