Gary A. Emery, MA, LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor)
Education: Denver Baptist Bible College – B.A. – Biblical Arts, Denver Seminary – M.A. – Counseling

Marriage and Family Therapist in private practice (specialties include: marriage therapy, men’s issues, parenting and family issues), Team member for the Community Marriage Agreement, Pastor of Midweek Christian Fellowship
Philosophy: As a senior therapist in our family counseling practice, my approach to helping people has been anchored in my Christian convictions and my biblical training. As a therapist, I believe it is of utmost importance that individuals acquire an accurate and honest view of themselves. Someone has said, “The truest thing about any of us, is what God says about us.” Realizing this truth and applying it to one’s life will make all the difference in the world. In marriage counseling, I take a proactive and interactive role in my work with couples and require that each participant strive, at all times, to take personal responsibility for his/her behaviors and beliefs. I take great care in extending grace to each and every person that walks into my office.
Specialties: Pre-Marriage counseling, pre-marriage courses, relationship and marriage counseling, blended families, divorce recovery, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, sexual addiction (Men), empty-nesters, grandparenting.
Personal: I had the blessing of being raised in a Christian home in which my father was a Baptist minister. Growing up in that environment helped prepare me to effectively care for people and lead them toward healthier relationships in their homes. I love to ride my Harley with my wife of over 45 years, fly-fish with my two sons, stomp around in the beautiful Colorado snow, and embrace every opportunity I get to be with my beloved family. I hope to get the opportunity to be of assistance to you and your loved ones.
Testimonial: “Things continue to go well for us. It’s not always easy but the tools you have given us certainly have gone a long way in helping us understand and have more patience with each other. I’m certain we would have continued to drift apart without your guidance. It is also reassuring to know advice is just a phone call away.” – Scott and Julie
