Areas of Focus:
- Untreated grief and trauma
- Men’s alcohol and pornography addiction
- Generalized anxiety and depression
- Self-esteem and identity struggles
Clinical Experience:
I have been serving as a psychotherapist in Colorado for nearly 20 years. I began my career in community mental health, where I had the privilege of walking alongside people of all ages and backgrounds. That season gave me a deep respect for resilience in the midst of pain, and it ignited my heart for those struggling with addiction, grief, and trauma.
In 2017, I joined Emery Counseling, where I continue to offer care rooted in both professional experience and a genuine belief that healing is possible for every person, no matter the depth of their wounds.
Education & Training:
- Master of Social Work (MSW, Advanced Standing) — Colorado State University, 2007
- Somatic Experiencing® Advanced II Student — Somatic Experiencing International
- Trauma-Informed Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
- IFS-Informed (Internal Family Systems)
Licensure:
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Colorado, since 2010
My Approach:
Healing, to me, is an integrated journey. I weave together body-based work from Somatic Experiencing, the clarity of trauma-informed CBT, and the depth of IFS-informed care to address not just symptoms, but the whole person—body, mind, and soul.
Every individual carries a unique story, and no single method fits all. Sometimes healing looks like slowing down with the nervous system to release stored trauma. Other times it involves gently challenging painful thought patterns or listening to the parts of us that carry old wounds. Together, these approaches create space for lasting change.
I see my role not as the “fixer,” but as a compassionate guide. My work is to walk alongside you, helping you notice what is happening inside, resist old destructive cycles, and take intentional steps of care. Healing is not always easy—it often requires courage, support, and persistence—but it leads to deeper connection with yourself and with those you love.
I believe with all my heart that we can heal and thrive, despite the depth or severity of our wounds. It would be an honor to partner with you in that journey.

I am from Minnesota and feel blessed to live so near the incredible Rocky Mountains. I love spending time with my family in the outdoors and going up to the Mountains whenever we can. I also enjoy camping, traveling, weight lifting and leading a men’s group through our Church.
